20 2007 Mogadishu, People came to see an envoy of heavily armed Ethiopian troops coming from Bal'ad to Mogadishu. A gun is fired by one of the spectators and Ethiopian troops responded with powerful and excessive force. Some eyewitnesses say Ethiopian troops acted irresponsibly and open fire indiscriminately killing four, wounding over twenty people and destroying neghbouring houses, cars and other livestock. Somali government troops were not with the Ethiopian troops according to the eyewitnesses and the government did not comment or say anything about the incident. After the incident, Ethiopian troops continued their journey to the headquarter of Somali National Security known as NSS. one local resident says "Meles Zanawi is building up arms and tells the world that he is withdrawing his troops" Jubbaland Newsdesk in Mogadishu
